Same Location, Different Movies, River at Mexican Hat
Monument Valley is a pretty dry place, but John Ford only had to drive up the road
to Mexican Hat to shoot river scenes. This is a fun site to visit. The last time
I was there (2004) it was completely undeveloped and completely recognizable.
