My Darling Clementine (1946)
Directed by John Ford. Starring Henry Fonda.

Roger Ebert calls "My Darling Clementine" John Ford's greatest western. Many others place it among his very best. Beautiful black and white images, lots of wonderful little moments. "Poetic" is word that pops up a lot.

Starring Henry Fonda, Linda Darnell, Victor Mature, Walter Brennan, Tim Holt, Ward Bond, Cathy Downs.

Fun Trivia Note: Halfway through the movie four people on their way to church in a buckboard stop to chat with Fonda. The lady in the back seat is Mae Marsh, who starred in D. W. Griffith's "Birth of a Nation" (1915) and "Intolerance" (1916). She shows up in many Ford pictures.
